AHS Chinese department offers online after school program

Would you like to have your child start learning Chinese NOW?

Without having to wait until going to the high school, Andover 8th grade students can start learning Chinese during the spring.
The AHS Chinese Language department is offering this unique online after school program.

Registration is now open

This course is taught by Ms. Lin Wu, AHS Chinese Language and Culture teacher (

The content and platform is provided by Middlebury Interactive Languages.
This interactive course for middle school students is filled with diverse, multimedia language activities.  Students begin their introduction to Chinese by focusing on the four key areas of foreign language study: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.  The course represents an ideal blend of language learning pedagogy, online learning, and multimedia cultural presentations.

For nearly 100 years, Middlebury College's Language Schools have enabled business leaders, diplomats and educators to master world languages and make deep connections with global cultures.  Middlebury Interactive has translated that approach to the K-12 setting through their school-based online courses.

If you have any questions please contact Dr. Jorge S. Allen, 6-12 World Language Program Coordinator (
